Free Food for Life classes for Black History Month!

The Physicians Committee is debuting a brand-new Food for Life African American Culinary Heritage series in your area. This series is designed to honor and explore the history of African American culinary traditions. The course will also help participants seeking to prevent or overcome high blood pressure, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and other health conditions that disproportionately affect African Americans. All are welcome to attend! Starting Thursday, Feb. 3, join Food for Life instructor Cheryl Marshall from Bear, Del., to learn information about how certain foods and nutrients work to promote or discourage disease, enjoy cooking demonstrations of delicious and healthful plant-based recipes, and receive practical cooking skills and tips for incorporating healthful eating habits into daily life. The Food for Life program was developed by physicians, nutrition experts, and registered dietitians, entirely from evidence-based research.
