10 Tips for Healthy Eating

We have shared these 10 tips with dozens of our patients.  Results are typically awesome.

  1. Prepare your own meals 90+% of the time.  (max 2 meals/week out)

  2. Experiment!  Find a base recipe and make small changes.

  3. Crock Pot!  Is your Friend!

  4. Soak beans overnight to reduce gas and speed cook time.

  5. Substitute healthier alternatives whenever possible.   Instead of egg, make a flax egg.  Instead of oil, use applesauce.  Instead of a burger, have a veggie burger.  Instead of ground beef, use lentils...

  6. Never go hungry!

  7. Except after 8pm.  Go hungry after 8pm. :)

  8. Fill up with healthy foods.

  9. Eat sitting down.

  10. Drink water ~30 minutes before meals and with meals.
