Be Well 6/4 reminder
You are invited to attend Progressive Health’s monthly Be Well program on Tuesday, June 4th from 6:30-8:00 pm at the First Unitarian Church of Wilmington (730 Halstead Rd.). Be Well is a program for people to connect with others interested in plant-based nutrition and other lifestyle behaviors shown to prevent and reverse disease.
BBQ season is here, and there are plenty of healthy plant-based alternatives to the standard hot dogs and burgers often served at summer time events. Feel free to bring your favorite BBQ or picnic recipe, or email it to Karen Smith at email@example.com to share with the group. Tuesday’s class will include samples of carrot dogs with a variety of toppings.
The program will be held in the first floor youth center (we are certain this time). The easiest way to access the Youth Center is to park in the lot behind the church on Halstead Rd. Enter through the school doors, go down the hall, take a left, and go to the end of the hallway.
All are welcome to attend. There is no cost, and we ask for a small donation to put towards the cost of the church rental and food.
