Be Well 1/8 Reaching a Healthy Weight

January’s Be Well class focused on the topic of weight loss and the reasons why so few people (a mere 2 percent) who set out to lose weight are able to do so and keep off the weight for at least 2 years. The slides from the presentation can be viewed here.

Two books, Bright Line Eating by Susan Peirce Thompson, Ph.D. and The Ultimate Secrets to Weight Loss by Chef AJ, were referenced throughout the presentation.

Dr. Tailor provided a fantastic cooking demo! She demonstrated how to press and add great flavors to tofu and prepared a delicious banh mi sandwich with tofu and a variety of fresh vegetables, including pickled carrots and daikon.

Progressive Health is rolling out a new program, Slim Again, on Monday afternoons from 12:00 - 1:30 pm. The program emphasizes powerful lifestyle changes for losing weight and keeping it off for good! Classes will begin Monday, January 21.
